A story of walls
and breakthrough boxes
2015
Wallbox is launched by founders Enric Asunción and Eduard Castañeda from a one-room warehouse outside Barcelona. They design their first charger, the Commander.
2016
Wallbox wins its first client pitch with a new charger, called Pulsar. We start expanding to new markets and begin working with our first major utilities and car manufacturing partners.
2017
We launch an improved app, called myWallbox. The Copper line of chargers is born and Wallbox begins to focus on global expansion.
2018
Wallbox launches a joint venture with Changchun FAWSN to become a key player in China and opens offices in Suzhou and Shanghai.
2019
We open our first North American offices in Palo Alto, California and introduce the world to Quasar, the smallest bidirectional DC charger specifically designed for the home.
2020
Wallbox moves into its new headquarters in Barcelona and acquires the Nordic charger distributor, Intelligent Solutions, and public charging software, Electromaps. We also unveil our first fast public charger, Supernova.

Wallbox has grown to over 700 team members, with 9 offices worldwide and users in more than 80 countries. We’ve launched new energy management technologies and charging solutions to continue to advance EV adoption and clean energy use.
